What is a gesture synth?＋

A gesture synth is a musical instrument controlled by movement. Here, finger counts pick chords and hand height changes the sound. The music is generated with the Web Audio API in your browser.

Do I need a webcam?＋

No. The chord pads and number keys work immediately. Camera mode is optional.

Is my camera video uploaded?＋

No. Hand tracking runs on your device. The app requests camera access only when you select Enable Camera and does not upload video frames.

Can I download what I play?＋

Yes. Use Record to capture up to 15 seconds of generated audio and download it as a WebM audio file. Browser support for recording varies.
